I never thought I'd be interested in a bounce flash, but I recently tried one at a relatives. It was a 30 year old Vivitar, but I was none the less impressed.
So today I'm heading out to buy one of my own. I'm considering the Canon 430EX II ($319 CAD) and the Sigma Electronic Flash EF 530 DG Super ($289 CAD) for use with my Rebel XSi. What do you think? Last edited by quacktacular; 03-29-2009 at 04:49 PM. |

If the Sigma is ETTL compatable with your XSi and the guide number is better than the 430EX's then I could really see getting it. ETTL is extremely extremely helpful though, I deeply prefer it personally

The sigma claimed to ETTL comp with the XSi but it certainly wasn't working for me in the store. 430EX II was flawless so I just bought it.. :P
Great flash, I'm happy.
